With all participants now safely home from the field, it’s safe to say that our expedition to the West Clearwater Lake impact structure was a huge success! This ~36 km diameter and 290 Myr. old impact structure in northern Quebec has not been studied and visited – from an impact cratering perspective – since the 1970s. Our group made many exciting discoveries that we will report on in the coming months. For now, here are some photo’s from the field. Stay tuned!
