education & outreach
Dr. Osinski has a long history of conducting public education and outreach activities. He has given dozens of talks at schools, museums, and other public venues. He was Program Coordinator for a new NASA Education/Public Outreach Program at the Planetary Science Institute (Tucson, AZ), called the Explorers Guide to Impact Craters.
He has also been involved in teacher training workshops, including the National Science Foundation Chatauqua Short Course for College Teachers, “Cosmic collisions with Earth: Chicxulub, Meteor Crater and More”, and the annual Teacher Training workshop held in August each year at the Canadian Space Agency.
At Western, he is the faculty lead for the education and outreach activities of the Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration.
